Mark 1:9-13
9¶ Now it came to pass in those days that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee and was immersed by John in the Jordan.
10And immediately coming up out of the water, He saw the heavens opening and the Spirit like a dove descending upon Him.
11 Then there came a voice from heaven, saying, “You are My beloved Son in whom I am well pleased.”
12¶ And immediately the Spirit drove Him into the wilderness.
13Now He was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted by Satan. And He was with the wild beasts and the angels ministered to Him.
John 1:1-5
1¶ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2He was in the beginning with God.
3All things were made by Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made.
4In Him was life, and the life was the light of men.
5And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not understand it.
1 Corinthians 15:1-8
1¶ Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand,
2by which also you are saved, if you hold fast to that word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain.
3¶ For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
4and that He was buried, and that He rose again on the third day according to the Scriptures,
5and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. 6After that He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once, of whom the greater part remain until now, but some have fallen asleep.
7After that He was seen by James, then by all the apostles.
8And last of all He was seen by me also, as to one born out of due time.
