Title: The Book of God ✡ The New Messianic Version of the Bible
Vol. I: Moses

Date: ⓒ 2010
Publisher: Saint Paul MN (U.S.A.): TOV Rose
Contents: Five Books of Moses / Torah

Images: Cover, Publication Information
Location: Collection Bibelarchiv–Birnbaum. Karlsruhe/ Baden, Germany

Comments: Paperback octavo, IX & 570 pp. The first 78 pages are dedicated to: The Names of God in this Version; The Names of God Controversy; The Names and Attributes of God; Pictures of the Father in the Bible; The Ancient of Days; The Book of Moses. - Thereafter follows the Pentateuch. Some unique features of this version are that all personal and place names are translated and, if Divine, briefly explained (in brackets). The translation itself has the KJV flair and retains some archaic words. The text is printed strictly verse- wise (computer- generated). Following the Scripture text, Tov Rose introduces himself, his ministry and his publications, on the final nine pages.

Title: The NEW MESSIANIC VERSION of the BIBLE

Comments: This brick- like 806 pp paperback does mistakenly contain <The Writings> (should be Vol. III) inside and <A Provocative New Look at the Book of Genesis>, but this article is nowhere to be found. Apart from the Scripture text presented strictly verse- wise, there's only praise for the Author and the Original Book of God (The Bible).

Birnbaum's Remark to Tov Rose's Magnum Opus
As an ardent believer, either Jewish or Christian, you carry your Holy Scripture everywhere, especially on the Holy Days of Convocation and to Bible study hours. Most of us have our favorite Scriptures sheltered in leather covers to preserve it for years to come (or Christ's return). As a frequent user and/or collector of Bible books you might even want to carry more than one translation with you so you are equipped for various tasks like heads of grain- gleaning, word studying or just comparing.

Now imagine that Tov Rose's translation becomes your favorite; you purchase his work from the first page and on to the last and you are eager to share his translatory skills and spiritual insights in written form — then you ought to prepare yourself:

1.) You are equipped with 6 1/2 inch (=c. 16 cm) piled up and 10,5 american pounds (=c. 4.75 kg) weight of scripture (no scroll!).
2.) As variety delights (Latin, varietas delectat), you have two different sizes: "Grande" for the OT volumes and "Venti" for the New Testament.
3.) You have an amount of printed pages which Johann Gutenberg would have been proud of binding together!
4.) On the other hand, you aren't laden with unnecessary appendixes like Apocrypha, book introductions, remarks, cross-references, alternate readings or even a concordance.

So, in case you take all that into consideration and make the "Tov Rose Version (TRV)" your choice, and you are shipwrecked on the way, be of good cheer as your brother/ sister in faith is obliged to adhere to biblical principles as is written in 2 Moses 23:4 (If you see the beast of burden etc…) and Galatians 6:6 (Carry each other's burdens …). Alternatively, make use of a useful "Onesimus", or, lad of burden (see letter to Philemon).

If you haven't decided yet, be at ease, as lately good news are spreading: Tanakh available in one volume!

Be it so!
