»The Aramaic texts remain difficult to obtain, and especially so in the Estrangelo letters found in oldest manuscripts. Again, this edition addresses that need. Translations usually, as a rule, suffer loss from the original source. The poetic Aramaic Peshittā (Peshitta) version is perhaps the greates exception to that rule. The line–by–line English translation is included here to aid those who are starting study in Syriac–Aramaic, and for those who want to reference the Eastern version in their own Bible studies. The focus of this book is solely a linguistic translation of the text presented.«
In the Introduction, amongst others, Pashka informs,
»The term Aramaic is derived from Aram, the fifth son of Shem, or Sem, who was the firstborn of Noah. (…) The Peshittā New Testament text is presented here in the traditional Estrangelo letters, or type. Aramaic is read from right to left, like other Semitic languages.«

»This edition will finally make it easier for those who have been searching for one in transliteration, and to do so in an affordable way. Although Greek and Latin texts abound, the Aramaic text remains difficult to obtain, and especially so in transliterated Latin letters, even if, as here, with diacritic marks. Again, this edition addresses that need. The poetic Aramaic Peshittā (Peshitta) translation from the Greek is perhaps the greatest exception to that rule, due perhaps to the Aramaic source which is evident in the original Koine Greek translation..«
