Children's Old Testament - 1962

This appears to be a companion to the Children's 'King James' Bible New Testament above as it has The Children’s Bible Story Book Old Testament, Stories by Peter Palmer Illustrated by Manning DeV. Lee bound in at the end. It is very similar to the Teen-Age Version below, but they are not identical. One place where they differ is Genesis 6:12:

(Children’s) Genesis 6:12 – And God looked upon the earth. And behold! it was filthy – for all flesh had become filthy in it ways upon the earth.

(Teen-Age) Genesis 6:12 – And God looked upon the earth. And behold! it was corrupt – for all flesh had corrupted its way upon the earth.

Title: The Modern King James Version of The Holy Bible
Date: © 1962. 1990 [2nd, revised Version]
Publisher: Lafayette, IN (U.S.A.): Sovereign Grace Trust Fund
Contents: Bible Revised Preface
References:Chamberlin see 45-2.
Images: Cover, Title page
Location: Collection Bibelarchiv- Birnbaum. Karlsruhe, Baden. Germany
Comments: Hardcover 8vo, XIV and 1102 pp; Scripture text in single column, no extras. Jay P. Green Sr. wrote the extensive preface about the „Why a M-KJV“. Asserted advantages of this newly revised Bible over various modern versions (New American Standard Bible, New Revised Standard Version, Revised English Bible, etc.) are maintained. Definitely no improvement is the typeface as compared to the 1962 Edition. the text is printed allover in running form (with smaller letters = less pages); this does not help reading in the poetic books of e. g. the Psalms, Proverbs, Song of Songs and Lamentations. Text revisions include modernizing archaic personal pronouns (thee, thou etc.).
