The title pages of both of these editions claim that they were "adapted from the Authorized Version of the Bible; however, nowhere is there any explanation as to what "adaptations" were made and the criteria used to decide what to adapt. In addition, the changes from the Authorized Version are not indicated in any way in the text. Based on the sample verses some of the adaptations were to change antisemitic terms into less offensive terms.
